Service Description

Wild Foods Hikes are a hands-on way to learn about plants and fungi. Whether you are a beginner, new to the area/ecosystems, or excited to learn more about our more-than-human kin. While IDs and edibility are a major focus; other topics may include medicinal uses, ecology, harvesting methods, craft uses, basic botany, mycology, taxonomy, and dye mushrooms/plants. Hikes are from 6-7:30pm and begin with 5-10min introductions. If you're running a few min late, no worries! We tend to move slow. Note: We will not actively forage on the hike, as many locations cannot support a large group. We'll learn about the species present which typically changes weekly and by location. SLIDING SCALE Accessibility is important! Choose your donation amount based on your household budget/income. This is an adult-focused class. However, kids who are able to walk with the group are welcome to join us.
